Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing the tasty and mouth-watering Philly sandwiches for Pepperjax Grill's ad campaign, "How Do You Philly?" The photos were used for social media and print advertising and helped promote the delicious and authentic flavor combinations of Pepperjax's Philly sandwiches. I also had the pleasure to work with the incredible team at Bailey Lauerman, Not Pictured, Pepperjax and Film Crew on a 30 second Food Feature that was incredibly fun!

I had an incredible time photographing The Surety Hotel by Aparium's restaurant concept in Des Moines, Iowa. Working with the Aparium staff and models was a dream, and their passion for their craft was evident in every detail.

As a photographer, I focused on storytelling by playing with light and shadow to emphasize the time and place of this incredible location. Our goal was to create a moody and emotive vibe, using contrast to bring out the best in the lifestyle photos and long exposures to showcase the stunning exterior.

Land and Lore is offers organic skin products for men. Owner Mark Hasebroock and the Secret Penguin team were so fun to work with on this shoot. I built the set in house using plants from a local business called Mulhalls and Trees provided by Bench. The lighting approach was to shift the lighting as if you were passing slowly through the day. The styling inspiration came from the idea of walking through a forest near the coastline. As you ventured the light changes on the forest floor, soon sand is introduced as you move closer to the ocean.

Photographing the guest room at Deco Hotel in Omaha, Nebraska, was a lot of fun. The room is beautifully designed and easy to be in, with great light and thoughtful details that make it enjoyable to shoot. I focused on keeping the images natural and straightforward, capturing how the space actually feels rather than over-stylizing it.

As a photographer, capturing the interiors of Cyrus Hotel in Topeka, Kansas was a delightful experience. I loved playing with light and using it to narrate a story through my lens. Shot at Percheron, the rooftop bar at The Crossroads Hotel in Kansas City. Great cocktails, solid food, and a view that pulls you in. We had a fun time capturing the weekend energy up there, focusing on the relaxed, social feel and the way the space comes alive as the city stretches out below.

FBG Facility Services is a full-service commercial cleaning and facility maintenance provider. I worked with J.Luna LLC on this project and we had such a great time! It was very cool to learn about what FBG does and how important their work is for communities.

Houska Automotive is a family owned business serving Northern Colorado for over 70 years. This project was commissioned by First National Bank of Omaha. I had a great time photographing Houska and getting to chat a little with the Father and Son team that run this business. You can tell they really care not only about their customers but also their employees. Their attention to detail is impeccable and it was fun being a fly on the wall watching as they worked.

The Lapaseotes Farm is a family farm in Bridgeport Nebraska. Cassie Lapaseotes. The farm and ranch spans 30,000 acres in western Nebraska and can feed about 15,000 head of cattle. On the farm side, they primarily grow corn and some hay, which all goes into feeding the cattle, and then sugar beets that go to the local sugary factory. The Lapaseotes family have been partnering with Tyson Foods for over five years.

I was commissioned by First National Bank of Omaha to follow the Lapaseotes Family as they farmed their land and showed us the process of raising cattle and growing sugar beets. This was one of my favorite photoshoots to this day. The countryside was gorgeous and I had such a great time hanging out with the Lapaseotes.

PG Farms, Inc., operates a diversified farm and ranch operations near Shelton and Springview, Nebraska, that employ 15 men and women as well as 10 or more seasonal workers.

It’s run by Paul and Deb Gangwish, who have five children, all of whom have spent time working on the farm.

The Gangwishes grow corn and soybeans and raise cattle. They also operate a trucking company and seed corn harvest business

This project was for First National Bank of Omaha highlighting their business customers. These stills were in support of documentary style videos about their business customers. This video featured Andy Stewart of Arapahoe Rental. Photos by Agricultural photographer Joshua Foo of Omaha Nebraska.

Stewart and his siblings took ownership of Arapahoe Rental together in 2013, becoming the next generation in their family’s long line of business owners and entrepreneurs.

“Arapahoe Rental has existed as a general rental store for over 50 years and spanned three separate ownership groups,” Stewart explained. “It ran as a one-store operation until 2004, when then-owners Jeff and Joel Henderson opened a second location in the small town of Windsor, Colorado. We purchased those two locations from the Hendersons in early 2013 and have been growing it ever since — totaling nine stores now,”

In the early 1900s, Stewart’s great-grandfather ran a grocery store in Salt Lake City, Utah, with his wife and children. Decades later, Stewart’s parents and grandparents worked as business partners for over 30 years — and after retiring, it was their idea for Stewart and his siblings to start the next family enterprise.

“They pitched us the idea of finding a business ‘large enough to support us physically and financially’ in a place we would all enjoy living,” Stewart recalled.

In 2013 the siblings acquired Arapahoe Rental — and the rest, as they say, is history. While Stewart is proud of the growth the company has experienced in his time there, the customer experience has always remained Arapahoe Rental’s top priority.

“At our core, we’re just a small business focused on having positive experiences with every one of our customers,” Stewart said. “If you keep the focus on the customer, regardless of how large or small the company is, success will follow.” -FNBO Facebook

Harper Feeders is a family-owned and operated sheep and cattle feedlot with a one-time capacity of 65,000 head of lambs and 3,000 head of cattle. The family is able to run 2.5 times the capacity through the feedlot on an annual basis. The Harper family has many long-standing working relations with producers that supply inventory to the feedlot on a yearly basis.

Working closely with the FNBO team, I felt the genuine enthusiasm they had for this project. Their passion for supporting sustainable energy initiatives was inspiring, and their dedication to the success of Bridgeport Ethanol was evident. As I roamed the facility with my camera in hand, I found myself immersed in a world of scientific ingenuity and environmental consciousness.

Photographing Bridgeport Ethanol commissioned by FNBO was an unforgettable experience that allowed me to witness the beauty of sustainable energy and agribusiness. The opportunity to capture the essence of ethanol production and the dedication of the people involved was both gratifying and humbling. As I reflect on this photo journey, I feel grateful for the chance to be part of such a significant project, and I hope that my photographs can inspire others to appreciate the importance of sustainable initiatives like Bridgeport Ethanol in shaping a better future for all.

Holli and Justin Sollenbarger are the owners of P Diamond Livestock in Rand, Colorado. After 10 years of working for the owners of the ranch, the Sollenbargers were given the opportunity to lease the land for themselves and purchase the cattle and equipment from the owners. FNBO helped Holli and Justin follow their dreams. It was great to hear how the partnership helped them. It was also interesting to hear about the process of raising cattle in a high altitude and what it entails. Holli and Justin have a piece of heaven there in Rand, Colorado and it was wonderful being able to be part of their day to see how they live.

This was a project commissioned by First National Bank of Omaha. Stills were in support of a short documentary style video featuring FNBO’s business customers. Beattie Family Farms is located in Sumner, Nebraska. This organization primarily operates in the Corn business / industry within the Agricultural Production - Crops sector.

It was wonderful watching three generations walk the farm together talking about history of the farm and where they want it to go in the future. The Nebraska landscape was beautiful that day and it was a great time working with North Sea Films and FNBO on this project as always.
